The objective is to present in controlled conditions the extraordinary variety of rare, indigenous flora from across South China, as well as to display significant from similar geographical and climatic zones, in particular from international tropical rain forests.

In addition, the Biome will accommodate facilities for research on plant breeding, cultivation and conservation, as well as for the study of landscape design. The aspiration is to create an inspirational and architecturally dynamic setting within which visitors can appreciate the splendours of China’s wealth of rare botanic specimens in an architecturally dramatic setting.
