Bogle Architects was commissioned by the client, BH Développement, to design a 70,000 m² residential masterplan at Dar Bouazza, Grand Casablanca, Morocco.
The 9.38 ha site is located 17km from Casablanca, close to the beach, the concept provides a coherent design linking the various residential unit typologies.
The scheme is arranged with larger urban blocks located at the western site boundary and linear row houses to the eastern perimeter where the main access road is located. The massing reduces towards the more luxurious, valuable units - semi-detached or detached villas occupying the central element of the site.
The proposal also features a generous public square with direct pedestrian connection to the amenity building at the main site entrance and to the playground located along the western side of the masterplan.
The facades of the apartment blocks vary in design in order to enhance the visual interest and animation of this new urban quarter.
