The designs echo the historic farmstead architecture with a contemporary aesthetic befitting this new Entrepreneurial Education Establishment.

The concept is based on a large exterior volume, in terms of scale, which can be compressed during a given period of time. Thus a permanent exterior frame is established which creates a large central space internally. Above this space a strong structural grid is designed where a room of boxes may be installed in time.

The brief called for an educational facility providing circa 8,000sqm of Laboratory space, Library space, Auditoriums, ancillary ‘break-out’ space, and underground car parking.
Our designs for the new Faculty of Pharmacy building provides a facility that is socially interactive, green, highly flexible/adaptable, future proof and fosters collaboration and innovation - A place that will become a hub for students, researchers as well as for corporate partners and entrepreneurs in the Science sector.
There was no overall winner. Our scheme received a commendation.
