The development is part of a major re-generation project along the Old Kent Road area with ambitious new projects planned along the proposed extension of the Bakerloo Underground Line. The appearance of the new building takes clues from the existing local high-rise residential building examples and through the choice of façade materials relates to the rich industrial heritage of the area. 40% of the new apartments will be provided as affordable units for local residents on lower income.
