Petr graduated from the Czech Technical University (CVUT) in Prague in 2003 with a Master’s degree in engineering. In 2008, after five years of work experience, Petr qualified as a Chartered Engineer with the Czech Chamber of Qualified Engineers and Technicians (CKAIT).
Petr joined Arch. Design in Prague after finishing his studies where he worked on the major refurbishment and extension of the Motol Hospital, an industrial facility for a US client, and various residential and commercial buildings for local Czech developers.
In 2005, Petr moved to London where he joined Geddes Architects, working mostly on retail and mixed-use developments. His main project work related to the Legal & General Retail Programme: a variety of retail parks redesigned and upgraded across the UK.
After a brief spell back in Prague where he finished the Plaza Entertainment and Shopping Centre/Cinema complex in Plzen, Petr was asked back by Clark Geddes to complete the Al Falah Shopping Centre, located on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, UAE for Aldar Developments. And the Mira Customer Building: a pilot project of UK automotive research and testing facility redevelopment, located in Warwickshire, England.
Petr joined BFLS as a chief civil engineer in 2011 to work on the design and site inspection of the ELI Beamlines Laser Research Centre in Dolní Brezany, near Prague.
He continued to work with Bogle Architects from 2012, completing the ELI Beamlines project in 2015.
Petr is currently engaged in several high-profile scientific projects, including the new Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy for Charles University.
