Žatec is a historic town in the north-west of the Czech Republic, with a long tradition of hop-growing and brewing. Triangle City is located within a 364ha business zone to the north of the town.
The key element of the proposed masterplan is a centrally located transport hub, with information centre and a hotel. The landscaped area at the heart of the scheme would feature a large lake, together with a restaurant, kindergarten and other amenities. The perimeter area is designated as individual plots for start-up businesses and light industrial units, and the overall design is predicated on the provision of sustainable alternative energy sources, from ground source heat pumps to photo-voltaic panels.
